This post will be a super quick catch up on life since I last blogged. I'll probably talk about things more later, but for now a quick overview.
I interned. I spent two months the summer of 2011 in New York at Vera Wang, and a couple of months at Natasha Marie Bridal in 2012.
I graduated. I got my degree in May 2012, though sometimes I think I should go back to school. Whether to learn more about fashion design or broaden my horizons with something new, I'm not quite sure yet.

I showed! My last blog ended with my Junior Fashion show... But I have showed a bit more since then. In 2012 I had a garments walk in Dallas Career day, New Orleans Fashion Week, and Baton Rouge Earth Day. I also had a mini collection of about 5 pieces walk at my senior fashion show, where I won 1st place design and 1st place alligator design. More recently I had a collection walk at New Orleans Fashion Week as part of their 2013 Top Design Competition.

I quit. My job of 6 years. It was bittersweet but I was really overdue to move on. Quitting freed me up to work on my collection for Fashion Week and I've started work on my next collection already.
I searched. For over a year I have been looking for and industry job. My goal was to always eventually have my own fashion business, but it's happening way sooner than I ever imagined. While I don't have a line out yet, I'm working on it.
I style. Recently I found Stella & Dot. Where I have become an Independent stylist, it allows me to make some extra money and focus on my designs. With out S&D I wouldn't be able to do what I love.
So just a snapshot of where I have been and what I have been doing for the past two years. Follow me and see where I am going.
